In this episode Ivona chats with Alfredo "Sonny" Silva about his sobriety and how it has changed his life for the better.  Sonny is a retired Sergeant from The Massachusetts Department of Corrections with 32 years of service in different capacities. Sonny also spent several years working in their Peer Support Unit.

Currently, Sonny is a National Outreach Liaison with FHE Health working in their Shatterproof Program for First Responders. 

Sonny talks about his career and how alcohol took the lives of his father and his sister. Sonny also had his struggles with alcohol and drugs, but he turned his life around and with his sobriety has taught him the value of life and how to make every moment count.
